Our specialized course prepares growing families for pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period using Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices and professional Plumtree Baby curriculums.
What you will learn:
Evidence-based childbirth education (Lamaze Healthy Birth Practices and Plumtree Baby curriculum)
Topics include:
- Pregnancy wellness and healthy habits
- Signs of labor and when to call your provider
- The stages of labor and what to expect
- Medical interventions, pain management, and cesarean birth
- Making informed decisions
- Newborn care, feeding, skin-to-skin, and newborn procedures
- Postpartum recovery and emotional wellness
- Safe sleep and community resources
- Q&A throughout the course
Interactive learning includes:
- Hands-on comfort measure practice
- Partner coaching techniques
- Labor position demonstrations
- Birth planning activities
- Small group discussions
By the conclusion of this day, you will feel confident, inspired, and ready as you welcome your baby.
